Scroll Theory HQ Privacy Policy

Effective 19 August 2026.

Scroll Theory HQ is a social media publishing tool operated by Scroll Theory Media in Wooster, Ohio. It schedules posts, photos and videos and publishes them to Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts and YouTube channels that the account holder has connected. This page explains what it stores, why, and how to get it removed.

What the app stores

When you connect a Facebook Page, the app receives and stores:

When you connect a YouTube channel, it stores an OAuth refresh token scoped to uploading videos to that channel and reading its basic channel info.

It also stores the content you create in the tool: post text, scheduled times, publish status, the images and videos you upload, and the post IDs returned after publishing so the planner can show what went out.

What the app does not do

It does not read your email, your contacts, your direct messages, or your personal Facebook profile. It does not read a Page's followers or customer lists. It does not sell or rent anything it stores, and it does not share it with third parties for advertising. The only outside services involved are Meta and Google, which receive the posts you asked to publish, and Cloudflare, which hosts the app.

Where it is stored

Post content and connection records are in a private Cloudflare D1 database. Images and videos are in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Tokens are never sent to the browser and are not visible in the interface once saved.

How to delete your data

You can remove your data yourself at any time.

Disconnect an account

Open Settings, find the brand, and use Disconnect for a Facebook Page or Disconnect YT for a YouTube channel. That deletes the stored token immediately. The app can no longer publish to that account, and anything already published stays on your Page because it belongs to you, not to us.

Delete posts and media

Delete a post in the planner and its stored copy and media are removed. Media in the Brand Library is removed with the Delete button on the item.

Delete everything

Email chad@scrolltheory.media from the address associated with the account, with the subject Delete my data. Every token, post, image and video tied to your Pages and channels is deleted within 30 days and you get written confirmation when it is done.

Revoke from the platform side

You can also cut access without asking us. For Meta, use Facebook Settings, Business Integrations and remove Scroll Theory HQ Publisher. For Google, use Google Account permissions. Revoking there stops all publishing straight away. Email us as above if you also want the stored records removed.

How long it is kept

Tokens are kept until you disconnect or we are asked to delete them. Posts and media are kept until you delete them or ask for account deletion. There is no separate archive, so a deletion is the end of it.

Children

The tool is for business use and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it, and material changes are posted on this page.
